The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has mourned with the groups of the casualties associated with the structure breakdown at Ikoyi, Lagos State.

No less than 10 people were assumed dead on Monday when a 21-story building collapse on Gerard Road in the Ikoyi space of Lagos State.
In the assertion named, 'President Buhari mourns with groups of casualties of building breakdown, urges specialists to increase salvage determination', the President encouraged specialists to reinforce salvage tasks as some are as yet caught under the collapsed building.
The assertion read, "President Muhammadu Buhari sympathizes with families who have lost friends and family in the 22 story building collapse in Lagos.
"President Buhari imparts the tragic second to individuals and Government of Lagos State, encouraging specialists to increase determination in salvage activities, while crisis foundations, including clinics, ought to offer all the essential help to shield lives of the saved.
"The President petitions God for God's intercession in the continuous salvage tasks."
The Lagos state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, in an assertion, has said salvage organizations were on the ground to save those under the rubble.
He added that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had requested an examination concerning the occurrence, adding that a report of the test would be unveiled.
The state Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, in an assertion on Monday, likewise said examinations had initiated to unwind the reason for the breakdown.
